Anna Lobedan

actress & vocalist

Anna Lobedan has been a member of the National Theatre in Warsaw since 2014. She completed her primary and secondary music education in Kraków, specializing in violin and double bass, and is a graduate of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw.

A recipient of the “For Young Talents” scholarship, Anna has earned accolades for her performances, including an award for her role in Moulin Noir directed by M. Przybylski, and first prize at the International Vocal Competition Singing Mask in St. Petersburg. She was also a finalist at the Actor’s Song Review in Wrocław.

Anna has performed at renowned theatres such as Ateneum Theatre, Dramatic Theatre, Grand Theatre, Contemporary Theatre, and Roma Theatre, and collaborates with the Polish Radio Theatre. She was a longtime assistant to Zbigniew Zamachowski in the acting song class and has been teaching at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy since 2018.

In 2024, she was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit for her contributions to Polish culture.

Damian Suchożebrski

Damian Suchożebrski – Born in 1992. Graduate of Music Academy in Poznań and Private Vocal Art in Poznań. In 2017 a scholarship holder at the Asheville Lyric Opera Young Artist Program in North Carolina, USA. In 2020 a Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland scholarship holder. In 2022 finalist of Viva Calisia Competition. Performed as Dottor Grenvil in “Traviata” by G. Verdi (Slovak National Theater), Filiberto in “Signor Bruschino” by G. Rossini (Schloss Kirchstetten Klassik Festival, Austria) Eneas in „Dydo & Eneas” by H. Purcell (cond. Paul Esswood, Teatr Wielki Poznań), Figaro in „Le nozze di Figaro” by W. A. Mozart (Opole Philharmony), Grimbald in „King Arthur” by H. Purcell (cond. Andrew Lawrence King), Nikita in “Czorsztyn Castle” by K. Kurpiński and in “ L’Enfant et les sortilèges” by M. Ravel (Teart Wielki Poznań). In 2022, he participated in the performance “Bach goes opera” as part of the international festival “Opera Rara” in Krakow. Performed in a number of cantata-oratorio concerts, including Stabat Mater by G. Rossini during Svatováclavský hudební festival 2017 in Ostrava, Czech Republic (cond. Paolo Gatto).

Hanna Holeksa

Started learning the piano at the age of seven with Elżbieta Wierzbicka at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Music School in Zakopane. She continued her education at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Bytom. In 2000 he graduated with an honours degree from the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice, where she studied piano performance with Andrzej Jasiński and chamber music with Regina Strokosz-Michalak. From 2004 to 2007, she studied with Tomasz Herbut at the Hochschule der Künste Bern. She has received numerous awards at music competitions in Poland and abroad, including Second Prize at the Miłosz Magin International Piano Competition in Paris (1992), First Prize at the Franz Liszt National Piano Competition in Wrocław (1995), Second Prize and a special award for the best interpretation of a piece by a Polish composer (with bassoonist Dawid Smykowski) at the Krzysztof Penderecki International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in Kraków (1997), First Prize at the National Yamaha Foundation Competition in Gdańsk (1999), First Prize at the Odd-Fellows Musikpreis International Instrumental Competition in Bern (2003). In 2004 she won First Prize at the Rahn Musikpreis in Zurich, which included a debut at the city’s Tonhalle in Ludwig van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5. In the years 1995–1998 she was among the winners of the annual national competition for the Fryderyk Chopin grants.

In 2005 she recorded Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Concerto for two pianos KV 242 and Camille Saint- Saëns’s The Carnival of Animals (with the pianist Patrizio Mazzola and the Schweizer Kammerorchester under Kaspar Zehnder). Her discography also includes CDs featuring sonatas for violin and piano by Edward Elgar, Richard Strauss, Karol Szymanowski, Francis Poulenc and Maurice Ravel recorded with Mariusz Derewecki for the label of the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Music Academy in Poznań, two albums with solo and chamber works by Émile Pierre Ratez recorded with Marcin and Ewa Murawski for Acte Préalable, CDs with Aleksander Tansman’s chamber works recorded with Magdalena Kling-Fender and Robert Fender (as members of Vivo Trio), with Elżbieta Mrożek-Loska (viola), as well as a CD with works by Henryk Wieniawski and Szymanowski recorded with the violinist Karina Gidaszewska for Ars Sonora, CDs with Tansman piano music and contemporary sonatas for doublebass and piano (recorded with Marek Romanowski) for DUX.

As an accompanist, she works closely with violinists, violists, cellists, double bassists, flautists, clarinettists and singers. She has received numerous awards and honourable mentions for accompanists at national and international instrumental competitions. In 2016 she was an official pianist at the 15th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań.

She appears regularly in Poland and abroad both as a soloist and chamber musician in a wide-ranging repertoire that spans music from the Baroque to the present. Another field of her activities is the organization of concerts, competitions and workshops for musically gifted youth.

In 2011 she obtained a doctorate on the basis of her dissertation ”The piano in the music of Karol Szy- manowski”, which crowned her many years of research into the composer’s solo and chamber music. In 2015 she was conferred a postdoctoral degree in the arts. She directs a chamber music class at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Music Academy in Łódź.

Michał Rot

A graduate of the Academy of Music. G. and K. Bacewicz in Łódź, he graduated with distinction in 2012 in the piano class of Prof. Cezary Sanecki. Additionally, he improved his skills at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart, piano class of Prof. Andrzej Ratusiński and the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Mannheim, chamber music class of Prof. Michael Flaksman and Prof. Jelena Očić.

The artist is a laureate of many national and international music competitions. The most important achievements are: Honorable Mention at the Chopin Competition. On Kędry in Łódź, 2nd Prize and a Special Prize for the best performance of a contemporary Polish piece at the 17th International Chamber Competition in Łódź, Award for the best pianist at the 18th International Kędry Competition in Łódź. J. Brahms in Pörtschach and the 4th Prize and a Special Prize at the 4th International Duo Competition. R. Strauss in Sofia.

Meetings with great personalities of the musical world had a significant impact on the pianist’s artistic development. He worked under the supervision of: Paul Badura – Skoda, Andrzej Jasiński, Elza Kolodin, Dang Thai – Son, Jonathan Zak, Jose Gallardo, Eduardo Hubert, Peter Efler, Paul Gulda, Victor Chestopal and many others.

Michał Rot conducts lively concert activities in Poland and abroad. He has performed at many music festivals such as: Ascoli Piceno Festival, Gaude Mater, Muzyka na Szczytach, Karol Szymanowski Music Days, LEO Festival, Heidelberger Kammermusikfestival, Mieczysław Wajnberg NOSPR Days, Polish Radio Chopin Festival, Presentations – Żelazowa Wola, Mendelssohn Music Days, Harmonies Old Town, Opus Magnum, Quarantine in Hi-Fi at RDC, Kubinska Hudobna Jesen, Chopin in the colors of autumn, Viennese Music Festival, Polish Song Festival, Przemyśl Music Autumn, Silesian Festival. L. van Beethoven.

As a soloist, he collaborated with the following orchestras: NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, Szczecin Philharmonic, Opole Philharmonic, Lower Silesian Philharmonic, Częstochowa Philharmonic, Kalisz Philharmonic, NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Polish Camerata Chamber Orchestra.

The artist has performed many times in the most important concert halls in Poland: the National Philharmonic, the National Forum of Music, the seat of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, the Philharmonics of Krakow, Opole, Łódź, Częstochowa, Kalisz, Lower Silesia, Podkarpacie, Zielona Góra and other important cultural institutions, among others. .among others at the Grand Theater in Łódź, Studio S1 of the Polish Radio, ECMKP in Lusławice, the “Atma” Museum in Zakopane, Studio of the Polish Radio. On Szpilman and also abroad: Eroica-Saal in Vienna, Cercle Royal Gaulois in Brussels, Baal-Saal in Heidelberg, City Hall in Vilnius, Matrisse du Notre Dame in Rouen, Philharmonic and Opera in Lviv.

He collaborated with outstanding musicians: Michael Flaksman, Justus Grimm, Ernst Kovacic, Joseph Swensen, Agata Szymczewska, Volodia Mykytka, Roberto Trainini, Natan Dondalski, Mathieu Romano, Lionel Sow, Jerzy Salwarowski, Christian Danowicz, Robert Kowalski, Daniel Raiskin, Tomasz Daroch, Barbara Karaśkiewicz, Jelena Očić, Krzysztof Karpeta (Reger Duo), Piotr Tarcholik, Andrzej Kosendiak, Radosław Pujanek, Aleksandra Szwejkowska – Belica.

Since 2016, he has been constantly collaborating with cellist Wojciech Fudala. FudalaRot Duo is active in concerts and has received a creative scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the promotion of culture.

Vocal lyricism is the pianist’s area of fascination. Since 2007, he has been creating a chamber duet with his wife Joanna Rot (mezzo-soprano), under the artistic supervision of the outstanding Polish singer Urszula Kryger for several years. Later, the artists studied with the pianist Ulrich Eisenlohr in Mannheim and the world-famous baritone Olaf Bär in Dresden (2010-2014). The duo actively performs in Poland and abroad.

The artist collaborated with renowned singers: Baruch Finkelstein, Szymon Komasa, Bartłomiej Misiuda, Katarzyna Haras, Bernadetta Grabias, Karina Skrzeszewska, Stanisław Kierner, Anna Lichorowicz, Ziemowit Wojtczak.

The pianist has made many recordings: “Winterreise” by Fr. Schubert (DUX) with baritone Stanisław Kierner; “Song of the Earth” (Polish Radio) with violinist Aleksandra Szwejkowska – Belica; “Reger Duo plays Yagling” (DUX) containing the world premiere of Victoria Yagling’s works recorded together with cellist Krzysztof Karpeta; “Jan Novak. Chamber music” (DUX) with pianist Marcin Kasprzyk; “Rachmaninov. Suites for two pianos. Works for piano trio” (Divine Art) with pianist Barbara Karaśkiewicz; as well as three albums nominated for the Fryderyk award: “Paderewski, Koczalski, Szymanowski. Songs” (DUX) with baritone Stanisław Kierner; and also in the FudalaRot Duo formation: “Mieczysław Wajnberg. Sonatas for cello and piano” (DUX) and in 2023: “Transfiguration. Szymanowski, Clarke, Bloch” (DUX).

The artist received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for outstanding achievements in the field of music. In March 2021, he received the title of habilitated doctor of arts, and works as an assistant professor at the Academy of Music. G. and K. Bacewicz in Łódź.

JUSTYNA STANEK oboe

Graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, where she studied with Tomasz Miczka. Prize-winner of, among others, the 2nd Prize at the Michał SpisakInternational Music Competition in Dąbrowa Górnicza (2012) and the 1st Prize at the National Competition for Wind Instrument Ensembles in Warsaw (2012; classical quintet category).

Since 2013, she has held the position of soloist at the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic, and has also collaborated with ensembles such as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra (NOSPR), Sinfonia Varsovia, Silesian Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and AUKSO – Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy.

She also performs as a soloist and chamber musician. At the Kodály Centre in Pécs (Hungary) she played Witold Lutosławski’s Double Concerto for Oboe, Harp and Chamber Orchestra with harpist Malwina Lipiec-Rozmysłowicz and the NFM Wrocław Philharmonic under the baton of Giancarlo Guerrero. She founded the chamber ensemble Phantasy Group, with which she has appeared at numerous festivals in Poland.

In 2019, she obtained a doctoral degree, and since 2022 she has been teaching oboe at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław.

MONIKA KRUK piano

Graduate of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where she completed piano studies with an additional focus on vocal coaching, earning her diploma in the piano class of Michał Szczepański and the chamber music class of Magdalena Blum (2012). She also completed the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Song Studies programme in Warsaw.

A recipient of numerous scholarships and winner of many prizes at chamber music competitions in Poland and abroad, she has been artistically shaped by encounters with such musicians as Jerzy Marchwiński, Olga Pasiecznik, Jadwiga Rappé, Stephen Drury, Esther de Bros, Ubaldo Fabbri, and Ronan O’Hora.

Together with Aleksandra Kubas-Kruk (soprano) and Anna Bernacka (mezzo-soprano), she took part in the world premiere and recording of Mieczysław Weinberg’s songs to poems by Julian Tuwim and Adam Mickiewicz, released on the album Weinberg (un)discovered (DUX, 2023). With Michał Marcol (violin) and Krzysztof Karpeta (cello), she also made the world premiere recording of chamber works by Paul Caro (SPMK Records, 2023).

In 2019, she obtained a doctoral degree and currently works at her alma mater as a piano répétiteur in the vocal classes.

Andrzej Wojciechowski

Is a graduate of the Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdansk, where he graduated the clarinet class of Professor Bogdan Ocieszak (diploma with distinction).

He is a two-time holder of the of Culture and National Heritage Minister’s scholarship for outstanding artistic achievements. He perfected his skills wity the Conservatorio Superior
De Musica in Castello, Spain.

He has received a number of awards and distinctions in national and international music competitions.

As a soloist and chamber musician, he has given concerts all over the world – in Europe,
North America, Africa and Asia.

He is a principal clarinet player of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk, collaborates with the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot.

He is an active chamber musician, being a member of the Polish Basethorn Ensemble, the Gdansk Reed Trio, the Baltic Trio and the extraordinary Zagan Acoustic ensemble, combining jazz, folk and world music.
He is the leader of the jazz-related formation Baltic Quasideon Group, associated with the Baltic Gramophone artistic agency he runs.

He received his postdoctoral degree in 2017. Since 2020 Andrzej Wojciechowski is the Head of the Wind and Percussion Instruments Department at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk.

He has recorded over 20 CD albums.

The most important is undoubtedly the album “Penderecki”, including Concerto per clarinetto recorded with the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot under the baton of Wojciech Rajski.

The “Penderecki” album was nominated for the Fryderyki Awards. It is the last CD released during the lifetime of Maestro Krzysztof Penderecki.

Berlin Piano Trio

Founded in 2004 as „Berolina Trio“, the Berlin Piano Trio counts as one of the leading piano trios. With their charismatic style and warm tone, this trio impresses the audience and press alike.

In 2007 the trio won the biggest international chamber music competition in Poland, the international competition created by Krzysztof Penderecki. As a special recognition the trio also received the interdisciplinary Grand Prix. During that year the trio also won the first prize as well as the audience award of the European Chamber Music Competition in Karlsruhe.

In 2009 the Berlin Piano Trio obtained the highly coveted “Prix Marguerite Dütschler” in Gstaad, Switzerland. Furthermore the Berlin Piano Trio tied in for first (ex aequo) at the international Joseph-Haydn- Competition in Vienna, where they also were honored with the audience award of the Esterhazy Foundation.

The Berlin Piano Trio studied in Professor Markus Becker’s chamber music class at the University for Music, Theater and Media in Hannover. In 2007 the Berlin Piano Trio became a permanent member of the widely renowned European Chamber Music Academy, which promotes leading string quartets and piano trios at an international level by working together with chamber music ensemble founders such as Prof. Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartett), Prof. Shmuel Ashkenasi (Vermeer Quartett), Prof. Peter Cropper (Lindsay Quartett), Prof. Eckart Heiligers (Trio Jean Paul), Prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Prof. Anner Bylsma and Prof. Ferenc Rados.

Besides their chamber music activity, the Berlin Piano Trio’s musicians are academic lecturers, regularly invited to lead masterclasses.

Bartłomiej Wezner

Bartłomiej Wezner is one of the most versatile pianists of his generation: a soloist, a chamber music instrumentalist, a teacher, and a promoter of culture.

Mr. Wezner is the winner of a number of international chamber music competitions: St Martin’s Chamber Music Competition (2011, London – 1st prize), 16 Premio Trio di Trieste (2015, Triest – 3rd prize), Academie de Musique de Lausanne (2015, Lausanne – laureate), the 50th International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch (2014, Holland – laureate of the Lied Duo category) as well as the 17th International Kiejstut Bacewicz Chamber Music Competition in Łodz (2010 – 3rd prize). He won the best pianist awards at the vocal competitions in Warsaw (2007), Katowice (2008), Łodz (2009), Sopot (2010), and Częstochowa (2013). As a soloist, he won the Special Prize at 6th International I. J. Paderewski Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2004) as well as an Honorary Mention at the 15th International L. Janáček Piano Competition in Brno (2008, Czech Republic).

Born in Nysa in 1981, he graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the class of the piano taught by Professor Ewa Pobłocka (2006). In the years 2002-2004 he also studied under Professor Jerzy Sulikowski. At the same time he learned the harpsichord with Professor Urszula Bartkiewicz. In 2013 he completed his doctoral studies with the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts, and, in 2019 habilitation. In 2019, started working at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz as a Professor as well as the dean of the Faculty of Piano Chamber Music. Additionally, Mr. Wezner works as the Chancellor of the Paderewski Piano Academy in Bydgoszcz as well as the artistic director of the Music at the Blumwe Villa festival.

Bartłomiej Wezner’s performing aesthetics has been influenced by master classes taught by such world-renowned artists as Maestro Janoš Starker, Stephen Kovacevich, Raphaël Pidoux (Wanderer Trio), Ewa Podleś, Kevin Kenner, Maja Nosowska, and Marcin Sikorski. He has performed with outstanding musicians: Vadim Brodski, Maria Machowska, Joanna Kreft, Agata Schmidt, and Ingrida Gápova. He is the pianist and the founder of the following ensembles: BMF Piano Trio, Herbert Piano Trio, Surrealistic Five. Together with his father and his siblings they form a unique family quartet Wezner Ensemble. As a harpsichord player he has cooperated with the Capella Bydgostiensis chamber orchestra as well as early music ensemble Illo tempore. He has played in Poland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Serbia, Montenegro, Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy and the United States. As a soloist he has performed with Capella Bydgostiensis, the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, the Opole Philharmonic, the Lviv National Chamber Orchestra Akademia and the Bydgoszcz Philharmonics, among others.

In the past, he was the piano tutor at the Maestra Terasa Żylis-Gara Vocal Master Course in the Radziejowice Palace (2008), Young Singers of Małopolska workshops ran by Professors Helena Łazarska and Zofia Kilanowicz in Nowy Sącz (2012), Thomas Hampson’s Master Course at the Gorzów Philharmonic (2014) as well as the official pianist of the 14th, 15th and 16th XIV, XV i XVI International Ada Sari Vocal Art Competition in Nowy Sącz (2011, 2013, 2015), the 9th International Stanislaw Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw (2016), International Karol Szymanowski Competition in Katowice (2018) and 4th International Karol Lipinski Violin Competition in Toruń (2019).

Mr Wezner has been the recipient of the following scholarships from the following institutions: the Piano Texas Festival and Academy in Fort Worth (2006, USA), the International Dartington Summer School (2012, Great Britain), the Beethoven Haus in Bonn (2015, Germany) as well as the Marshall of the Kuyavyan-Pomeranian region (2011, 2012, 2017, 2020) and the Minister of Culture’s and National Heritage’s Young Poland scholarship (2012) and artistic scholarship (2021).

The pianist is equally adept at the classical repertoire as well as the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. He has performed at world premier performances and recordings of compositions by Hanna Kulenty, Zbigniew Bargielski, Roxanna Panufnik, Marcin Masecki, and Michał Dobrzyński, Szymon Godziemba-Trytek, Rafał Janiak among others.
